Frequently Asked Questions

Original Shippers

Does my company name need to be on the stamp?

No, we can place any identifier in the box allocated for your use. This could be a city, a logo, part number or any random unidentifiable number such as THO178.

Who will see my contact information?

Contact information will remain confidential and will not be shared unless you choose to. We will contact you once we receive calls regarding your pallets; you may or may not choose to purchase them back. If you choose to detail the repair specifications of the pallets we can assist you with that as well.

What other benefits are there for identifying my companies' pallets?

Many original shippers are using the PalletID stamp to provide further detailed information regarding their pallets. This can include Heat Treating information, quality and load bearing strength information, as well as proper disposal information. The PalletID stamp links greater information of the platform to a tablet with unlimited capacity of information.

Who applies the stamp and is there any cost to add my pallets to the system?

Most clients will make the application of the stamp as part of their pallets manufacturing specification. We then work with your pallet supplier by providing them with the proper setup to apply the stamp to your pallets. This is a minimal expense to the pallet manufacturer.

No, it does not cost anything to include your pallets in our system. If you replace a current stencil with a PalletID stamp than most manufacturers will not charge for a stencil.

Receivers of PalletID stamped pallets

If I record pallets, can I be sued or am I required to send back the pallets?

Unless the pallets are specifically identified as “Property of” or “Owned by” the receiver of these pallets has no legal obligation to return or sell these pallets to any party. The receiver may or may not choose to sell the pallets and under what conditions.

Are the pallets with the stamp worth more than standard pallets or tear down material?

Historically, a pallet or platform with our logo on it has greater value to the original shipper than it is worth as a tear down pallet. Consequently, we can offer you increased revenue to repair the pallet or to ship it to a consolidation point.
